I actually think SG-1 was more successful than the movie. I even enjoyed Atlantis. Each to their own I suppose.

No I fully agree, but I don't think they have the writting ability these days to even make a movie as good as the original now it's all about ticking boxes above telling a good story.
If they skip the woke culture, keep it away from Disney, and stick to the basics, the foundation is there for an long lasting franchise.
