the 18w ddc's get pretty hot especially on the bottom, im guessing thats what ur using b/c most pumps are just kinda warm, i use a special gel under my pump to keep it cooler and less vibration

If you mean the Petra's Tech Gel Stuff pads we don't recomend it for use on European DDC's they really can make your pump overheat!
The 18W DDC's get very warm anyway, what we usualy suggest is try mount it near a slow running exhaust fan to get rid of some of the heat.. I've even seen some people put heatsinks on the base of a DDC to help cool it down.
