so ime looking for a solid mobo to last a while, and be stable on crossfire and be stable with overclocking so yer let the dragon platform commeth :)

Hi :)

I would recommend the Gigabyte boards, either the UD4P or the UD5P. These leave plenty of space for future upgrades and are solid as a rock.

The only complaint I have with my board is that I can not seem to get my memory to run at 1600mhz but have it running at 1333mhz @ 6-6-6-20 @1t. Not sure if this is the memroy or the mobo thou.

My board seems to be a pretty solid overclocker as well running at 3.8ghz on air.

Good luck which ever way you go :)

MrsVB has got the 790X and it's an amazing motherboard for a brilliant price. Heartily and hugely recommended.

i wasent realy looking to go with DDR3 as i dont see the performance INC to be that much sorry i should of said VB do you mean the UD3P?

so do you reckon i should go with the UD3P the price seems good, and aslong as its a solid stable board ile be getting it

The M4a79 is what we got for the overclocking compo and is a very good mobo, add to that Asus 5 day RMA and scan service you are on to a winner.

Id pick Asus over gigabyte anyday dude, so if you really want to change your M3N (IVe got the workstation version for my server) then deffo stay Asus

yer man i like the look of the asus board, and its features are good aswell, just try and save half the cash then sell my M3N on hear for the other half

That's the puppy. The perfect blend of price, performance and upgradability (which is now a word :) )

I'd never argue with Tom. My next mobo will be Asus. I'm just saying that MrsVB got the UD3 and it's brilliant and cheap. My final decision was between the 790X-UD3 and the M4A79.

The only reason I picked the Gigabyte was it was cheaper, and that I couldn't see the point in getting a 790FX chipset when I'm putting a graphics card in it anyway.

So the UD3 is brilliant, but you wouldn't go wrong with the M4A79 either.

ok man thanks for all your replys, ime going to go with the UD3P as ke VB said its cheaper and the features are prity much the same also ile be using my 4890 and eventualy going Xfire and at that price its awsome.

thanks again

regards

D
