Hi Guys,

I am currently going through a new rig update and i need some help deciding on whats the best motherboard

i will be using the i5 3570K cpu and the 3 i have narrowed it down to are -

MSi MPower 1155 socket

Sabertooth Z77

Asus P8Z77-V Pro

i would like to overclock the cpu and ram abit my nothing major.

or maybe even the Msi GD65 as ive just come across it.

The ram ill be using has to be compatable to and that is the patriot memory Intel XMP 2133Mhz 4gb sticks

"MSi MPower"
I also have a Asus saberthooth but i prefer my MSI board !

BTW for that overclock, a MSI Z77A-G45 would do more then enough ...

would be ideal as the mpower only has 2 but has 6 usb 3 slots but as i dont have any usb3 devices seems better to go for the 4 sata 3's that way i can put ssd and blu-ray drive and maybe in future expand to another ssd :)

GD65 is a great board, you'll be happy with it.
mPower would have been my call, but if you need the SATA ports then fair enough.

As for overclocking the RAM, I've found it's more effort than it's worth. Don't expect to be able to buy 1600mhz RAM and get it up to 2133mhz as it just won't happen.
I can't even get my 1600mhz Mushkin Frostbyte up to 1866mhz stably.

Just buy the frequency you want and have done with it.
