in short, i broke my 200mm side panel fan on my CM Cosmos S.

i want to replace it obviously, anyone know how?

and is there any particular fan you would suggest? i prefer silent ones over high air flow ones.

Thanks in advance. :worship:

thanks tinytom, but my main question wasn't what to replace it with, rather how to replace it. i can't seem to find out how to get it out.

any ideas?

pop off the side panel

think there were two screws holding the fan into the dust filter.

unscrew those and it just pops out.

i never bothered putting the screws back in. it sits securely enough without.

if all else fails the whole side can be broken down into it 4 main bits with ease:

the metal side panel

the metal mesh covering the fan

the dust filter than screw onto the metal side panel and holds the metal mesh in place

the 20cm fan

hope that helps mate

sorry for not checking back, but your method worked.

Thanks k4p84

p.s. it has 4 screws not 2, then just yanked it out.

I had a friend that broke the side fan on his cosmos s, so he got in touch with coolermaster and they sent him out a new one, with a fan guard!

So if you haven't bought anything yet, it might be worth getting in touch with CM.
