Hi All,

I got my xonar dx2 the other day and I must say I'm very happy with it, but there is one thing I need help with....

Please excuse me if this is a noob question but I'm really confused.

Basically I plug my 3.5mm head phone and mic jacks into mic & front ports, but if I want my bose computer speakers plugged in at the same time in which port would that 3.5mm jack go into? I've tried all the other ports and the speakers will not work unless its in the front port, so atm I can only have one type plugged in and working......

Unless you guys can help out?

Thanks

So you plug your headphone and mic into the front panel, where do you plug your speakers in? Or have you tried the back, and it only works at the front?

My set up is very convenient, but I never go through the front panel. Not a great idea IMO. I have a 3.5mm jack plugged in to my speakers because they have a headphone port - you can use it fully even when the speakers are switched off. Then the mic from the headset goes directly to the mic port at the back of the sound card. Then the 5.1 jacks go from speakers to back panel.

Since you don't have a headphone port, you're saying plugging the speakers into the back and the headset into the front doesn't work, right?

You have to plug you mic -------> mic in

headphones --------> Front

Bose Speakers ( 2.1 ?? ) -----------> Rear

Then go to your sound settings and set to 4 speakers .

But you have to know that i will not be real stereo sound ! ( will mess impedence and degrade sound quality )

Or you can buy a " audio splitter " <----------- Best solution !!!!
