[HELP] Server at Ubuntu

Hello everyone,

I set up Ubuntu (Desktop Version, because of display) as my server at home, for some small stuff, and basically to learn.

I was wondering if someone can help me to protect it, by software, from DDoS attack, etc etc.

The best possibel OFC XD becuase I believe full protection is impossible even with 1 million bucks.
