HELP PLS - Rm cables to Ax possible???

I have a ax760 psu but i some how missplaced the cables. I also have a RM 850 with all the cables.

Can I use the 4 pin cable and one sata cables FROM my RM 850 on my Ax760???? I ONLY need those 2 cables, 1 x 4pin and 1 x sata.

Pls help!

*yes I know the best way is to order new but that is like 100euros from where i live....

Hmm be careful. IIRC the AX 760 (original) is wired the same as the AX 1200 (original not I) and they are not compatible with anything else.

The only way to know is to plug them in and then hit them with a multimeter to see if the power comes through the same.

Edit. If you need some made up contact Shakmods on Ebay. He will have all of the plugs etc. He made up a complete set of cables for me for a SFX PSU and didn't even need my cables so he has all of the plugs etc. He will probably charge you a few quid for each individual cable and you only need two.

On those ones I think you can actually. Its normally the 24 pin thats different. Id say its one for the Corsair Customer Care forum though - GreyBeard will know

The 24 pin is a completely different pinout, don't use it in the RM as you will fry it. All AXi, RM and HXi PSUs are compatible, the AX is EOL (?) and requires a different 24 pin to the RM, AXi and HXi units, but everything else will work fine.

I will double check my personal pinout diagrams and check the continuity of the AX and RM SATA cables, but I think that they are the same. Its always good to have a PSU tester in your toolbox, to test things like this, they are only 5-6 quid on eBay.

Cheers, I want to use only the 4 pin cable FROM my RM 850 TO my Ax760 as its missing and I need it for my Mobo.

So that would work from what I understand? I would not use the 24pin at all as THAT cable is ok on my AX760.
