I'm studying abroad and I rented a flat. Now to the real deal, I installed the internet and start renting the other rooms, but the router's wireless sent from the internet provider is rubbish. I need to set a very good but cheap networking for 4 people. Budget can get little bit bigger if needed for different features like a "home based" NAS or something else, but I need help.

The budget is 225 £.

Please help me.

unless you need something very special i'd just stick with linksys.

also do i understand correctly that you are renting your internet to 4 other people living with you? first of all thats not very safe but if they are network retarded you'll be fine.

and also the router isnt always at fault, since it has to split the bandwidth between 4 people it could be very slow at times

It's part of the deal. It's bedroom, access to kitchen and living room, and internet. They're network retarded xD but the router is the fault here. For a start it works just like a modem, with just one Ethernet out, and the wireless is rubbish.

I already have a 2 TB Seagate GoFlex Home as a kind of NAS thing, so we have a sort of Dropbox but bigger. This way I need extra Ethernets and much better wireless. I'm thinking of having a Powerline for me, for extra SPEEEEEEEED XD They know nothing about networking, and I just know how to set up, not how to buy and what to buy.

Draytek are arguably the best routers in the world.

You`ve got bandwith control for different users/machines as well as WAN.
I know nothing about routers, but the bandwith control sounds marvelous. Can it has different SSID?
