Hey,

I need to decide today about my new gpu/s as its a new gpu "replacement" after I turned in my old gpu.
I play games with heavy moding, photography, after effects and some premiere and other video edit programs. (not allot of video editing)

Here is the choices I got.

1) Asus direct cu ii OC gtx 780 (and I must also pay 130 euro, about 100 pounds) price difference
2) 2x Gigabyte windforce 3x OC gtx 770 4gb (sli) I get 1 for 20 pounds (price difference) and I will buy 1 more for higher performance.
3) 2x Asus direct cu ii OC TOP 280X (crossfire) I get 1 free and buy 1 more.
4) gigabyte 290 reference (with 30 euro or 20 pounds)

It would be great to have your suggestions also. Because I have to give my final call to my distributor!.

cheers.

280x in crossfire is the fastest of the 4 options. In many games 1 280x is damn near on par to one 780 from a review i have seen.

If are considering 280Xs which are HD 7970s rebadged you may want to think about a HD 7990 which is the equivalent of 2 x 280Xs on the same PCB.

At the moment you can get some fantastic deals on the HD 7990s and they pack a huge amount of performance into one card.

basically I need to know whats the best deal, also feature proof choice.

Is the crossfire good? Because they all suggest 280x.. As for the 7990, I can get those I listed...

Guys I went with ASUS direct cu 2 OC gtx 780

and in a couple of months, I will get 1 more for sli.

What made me do it, is the low power consumption, cool temps and high performance. So instead of getting 2x280s, I got with 2x780s

tell me I did good! :) I am expecting it tomorrow maybe. I think I am not sure, the 780 consumes a bit less power than a 280x? I cant remember the reviews, but for the ASUS, ive seen the best performance compared with consumption and dollars.

I couldnt go with a 290 or 290x, because of temps, I live in a hot country and imagine my room temps at summer 45c+ and the gpu at 100!!!!! I will burn.
