help me get this junk oc'ed!

Disable Cool&Quiet, and up the volts just a little bit, then go back and test... If that doesn't work ,then it's not the volts.

Yeah but.. it's the VDD not the VCore. If you had the CPU Voltage that would be a relevant value to change. The VDD won't help much at all. I just noticed that... I have so many threads opened , I don't know which one to answer first.

by the way in the sidebar that tells me some information about it, it says "voltage adjust for voltage identification of basic cpu core logic power within the processor" for the vdd cpu

Well there is only so much you are going to get out of the cpu on such a mid range board.
The best thing to speed up your system (and not your frame rates) is to purchase an ssd. Even though you will max out the sata II bandwidth it would be an enormous improvement to your systems performance.
One other thing the 550ti is extremely low end (basically a tweaked 450) and is roughly on par with the old 4870 and 5770.
If you were to upgrade this even to a 7850 you would be more than happy with performance increase. (You will need a new psu though to output enough amps)
If it were me, Id grab a nice crucial, samsung or intel ssd and see if you are happy with the performance boost.
Best of luck.

thanks for the advice, didn't know the 550 ti was that weak! by some crazy chance I'm somehow able to max skyrim 1080 with a texture pack, bf3 on medium 1080, dishonored maxed 1080, all counterstrikes including GO and lots of other games on good settings but it might be the oc on the card in my Sig. I've decided to save up ~$2000 USD and get a monster rig when ddr4 and all that stuff gets to consumers, and hopefully by then multi gpu setups won't be so buggy (at least that's what I hear)
