hello overclocking experts!

I'm in a bit of a fix at the moment...with ddr4 and a higher budget available to me in early 2014, I'm trying to get the most out of my system now. can you help me overclock the cpu in my signature? I know it's a locked processor, but there's still a way right?

Yes, Increase the buss speed ( FSB ), steadily, keep the HTlink closer to stock speed, keep the memory closer to normal speed, increase the voltage when needed, careful with the temps, and you will be OC'ing in no time.

ok, followed that and got my clocks to whats now in my sig. 2.52 ghz. but as you can see the ram is like crazy slow. just keep on bumping up the ram multiplier?

Your ram seems to be running at normal speed, You need your CPU OC'd. You need to start running stability tests with Prime95 (Small FFT's). Open your CPUZ and take a screen shot of the CPU tab and the Memory tab as well, post them here.

cpu: AMD Phenom x4 9750 95w version stock 2.4ghz but i just somehow got it to 2.525
mobo: msi k9n6pgm2-v2 (it has an nvidia chipset on it, 7025 maybe?)
ram: crappy generic ddr2 ram rated @ 400mhz (with the oc got dumped to like 300 mhz)
gtx 550 ti 2gb oc'ed to 1ghz core 2.4 ghz mem
500w thermaltake psu

Can you take a screenshot of CPUZ containing CPU and Memory information. Also can you take a picture of the OC in BIOS? I need more info, otherwise I cannot help. I did overclocked a few older AMD's on nVidia chipsets so I might be able to help with the right info.

Ahh... I don't see any CPU voltage control there... not good. From 2.4 to 2.6GHz isn't a big difference, but try testing it after increasing the clock. Hopefully you will be able to get a decent overclock... I hope 400MHz. Play with it more, stress test it, try keeping the HT Link closer to 1000 as much as you can, don't OC the ram too much yet. Hit it with Prime for the moment.

what I'm trying to say is that I CAN make it higher. I just use the + and - keys. it's grayed because they say it isn't recommended.

Oh , right, well don't go on upping volts like a madman yet. Get a CPU temp reading tool ( HWMonitor ) before uppig the Volts. You said you clocked it at 2.6GHz... Good! Stress test it for a very long time ( usually CPU's that pass a 24 hour stress test are considered 100% stable... most of them anyway ).
