Hi all

So To start this off, i currently have a 5930K @ Stock (i know right crazy)
on a ASUS WS-E EATX motherboard

I want something
Smaller ATX/mATX (would love Matx, but looks like all AM4 matx boards sucks.) (i need Optical And theirs only 1 choice)
faster/Upgrade
Extremely Silent

Use in Order:
Gaming
Programming

Gaming at
3440x1440 /4K with a 1080Ti

Budget: No Budget, But I have sense. :p

Wont be Overclocking As i want it Silent

Ryzen 7 Of course is my main choice right now. Cant decide on model.
Also been considering the 7820X/TR due to the Extra PCI-E Lanes future proofing

If you want to wait then the 10 core TR would be worth waiting for I'd say if you need it now and don't want to overclock then go the 1800x normally I'd say 1700 with clock but you don't want to so 1800x since you mostly game anything else isn't really going to benefit you

Don't discount the 7700K. Games love clock speed and this clocks higher than any of the Ryzen processors at stock, and is priced between the 1700 and 1700X. The Ryzen processors are only competitive against it in gaming when overclocked.

That was my thought too. Only thing is TDP of a 10 core...

5930k > all potential cpu upgrades.
Also you can probably squeeze a few more MHz out of it whilst reducing the stock volts by a tad.

If you really want to downsize I'd suggest a new X99 board and case then just transplant everything else in to the new case
