help if you would not mind nvidia 580 vs 670

+1 Rastalovich

since your new to the "gamer" from a console position, a simple i3 and 560 will be boo-koo
increase in player performance. buying 15fps for $150-$200 is not a value.

Lol I have already beat that I am going to be running a 2600k with a 670 so you would say I am going to see a difference lol?

Have you already bought the 2600k?

When the 2700ks came out, the bad batches - ie - the chips that couldnt reach the best overclocks got changed to 2600ks - so in buying one, you know you've not won the silicone lottery already.

i have already got the 2600k and for a bargin price im not over clocking it alot any way
so i am not worried

THe 2600k and 2700k are both good chips. with the 2600k being the better value. There is only a very small, like less than 3% performance increase, from a 2600K and a 2700K. A lot of retailers are trying to sell there inventory of these chips so you can find wome awsome deals. Micro center is selling 2700K for $250, not sure about 2600K because they are all sold out.

dude, i am trying to understand your questions, but you keep aluding to "the best"
and there have been alot of great solutions, but you run-out and say your not overclocked
and now i don't wanna help answer your questions any more...you might wanna consider
getting the system "on-line" with the best it can do now and then proceed to upgrading..

Just going to chime in re. gaming keyboard and mouse

With mouse you will generally notice a massive improvement. Logitech do nice gaming mice for the price(G500 i think it's called). The sensors are much better than the cheapo tat in generic mice.

Keyboard.. less so. Definitely go for a mouse first if budget is tight imo.

Yeh - I agree with that.

If you're very tight on the budget - the CM Storm Xornet may be a good starting point. It's only £14.99 on Aria now

I'd get a Gigabyte GTX 670 OC, awesome acoustics, awesome price and very good performance.

I'd go for an AX750 if I were you, a bit cheaper and can still handle 2x 670's in SLI so there's still a bit of future proofing headroom.

The 2600K is a great chip, although they can't OC as high as most 2700K's apparently. There's no real world performance difference anyway between 4.5GHz and 5GHz so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

i personally reccomend the 7870. but then i have not used anything other than the 5770, i only say this because you seem to have costs in consideration and this card is way cheaper than the 670. based on your comments i assume you are in usa, on neweggt he 7870 go from $240 with rebate.
