Help for picking parts

I don't think you would be allowed to bring a lot of the components on the plain as personal luggage at all. There is a lot of metal and they can be sharp or easily turned sharp. I think your best chance of your computer making it safely to the US is to mail it to yourself or a mate.

i would leave the gpu and HDDs and SSDs out of the rig and stored somewhere safe and secure... Don't want those failing!

I'm a bit worried about that too, I'm thinking about calling the airport about it. See if I get lucky and there's like someway I could potentially have it with me instead - though I am a bit skeptical.

I'm thinking now about getting Pelican 1120 case to haul the 680s and HDD along with the SSD.

Also take off the cooler and remove the GPU and pack them separately.
