Lol....Voltage here in Sao Paulo is 220V which means i can use UK power things, but power tools like my dremel for example loose a little of power.

It would be nice to get a printer, but it will be so expensive to ship it, and for sure the stupid federal police will get it to charge me 40% of the product value, thats how bad importantion is here in brazil. And we better not start a conversation about exportation cause the stupid president sells everything for banana price, and the poor amazon lots more then 2 great britan size in forest cutting, its just insane how things work here, well...i better stop my politic ideals, cause if i get involved too much or i might endup dead someday.

Does the PCB have any kind of model number on it? Its probably quite unlikely but you might find some diagrams online.

The circular orange thing is a varistor used for surge protection. The markings on it dont seem to relate to much that I can find, but this is probably close to what you are after: http://uk.rs-online.com/web/search/searchBrowseAction.html?method=getProduct&R=5435091

EDIT:

Found a manufacturer PDF online:

http://209.85.229.132/search?q=cach...pdf&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk&client=firefox-a

This is the one you're after. Ignore previous RS link:

I'm surprized the thing busted, but u can replace the components, farnell should be just as good as rs.

Reason I'm surprized is that the components around those things seem to be rated at 250v, and "sometimes" devices like that with just a class 2 figure 8 plug in are rated 110-220v. There should be a manufacturer label on the printer which has the class 2 symbol (which u can actually see on the pcb), serial number, model number... and voltage rating. Be very surprized it's not 110-220.

what printer you running im going to the tip tomorrow. if i can pick one up for you'll for a couple of quid and pull out the PCB .
