Hello all,
I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Paul; I'm from Wisconsin, USA. Currently 20, I've been building and tweaking my own PCs for as long as I can remember. I recently purchased a bunch of new hardware, which is how I discovered OC3D -- watching countless reviews on YouTube! Thanks for all the great work TTL, I enjoy your videos very much and they are always professional and honest.
Anyway, I have a bit of experience with overclocking, but nothing too serious. All my machines have been air-cooled so far. My previous machine was a Q8300 quad-core on an Asus P5KPL mobo with 4GB of RAM. I had OC'd this to 3.2 GHz, nothing special but the BIOS was limited.
I'm currently building a new system that I hope to push well over 4 GHz (I'll make a thread and probably post a link to it from here)
I attend the Milwaukee School of Engineering, studying Mechanical Engineering. My main interests are modelling and numerical analysis, so I use my computers for both work and play (sometimes a bit too much play, but hey, you only live once, right?).
I don't game that much, but I really enjoy racing games like the Dirt series, F1 2010, etc.
Anyway, that's enough babble from me. Thanks for reading, I hope I can get some advice from the forum in the future and maybe help some people out too!
