Good evening/afternoon/morning all,

I have finally finished my first rig after 13 years away from building due to serving in the Military. I have been building since a very young age but still have a lot to learn and some things to change on my rig before I am 100% happy, its mostly aesthetics as I am happy with the hardware for now:) I most definitely have the modding bug though.

I really like the mix of Purple and Red cables here, I don't know why but it just pops.

The E22 cable combs really help the cable management.

I liked the idea at first but as I'd only need a couple I couldn't justify E22s postage, I'll be going down the lacing route once my cooler returns.

i was thinking about getting them, 4.6ghz oc very nice! what volts and what temps are you getting?

Core voltage - 1.248v average temp 33 degrees. I must admit the OC (this maybe a big no no in the OC community) is achieved using one of the ROG BIOS OC profiles not a manual OC. I have some more reading up before i am confident enough to switch to full manual.

It was my missus that suggested the red and purple and i liked it initially, but received so much grief on other forums that i started to dislike it.

I looked at going down the lacing route but after hand sleeving most fo the cables, the thought of many many hours lacing put me off. Thankfully the postage within the UK was pretty good and I had placed a large order.

have you done a full OCCT run of 30 mins with Linpack on?

i did the same thing 1st time then after a few hours i went full on manual :)

No i haven't done a full run yet been working on my GPU overclock. Now thats stable and i am getting awesome benchmarks. I will now run OCCT and look at a manual OC.

I have quite a few left over and would happily stick them in the post to you as I have no use of them?

just down the road from me, what do work as, if you don't mind me asking?

I am retired Army following breaking my spine in 4 places which was fun. So now I am training to be an Osteoarchaeologist and Forensic Anthropologist. Basically i travel around the country digging up skeletons when i am able. What about yourself?

I work with EPOS systems mainly for a lot of different retailers. Primark, TK Maxx Smyths Toys and various others. I mainly cover outskirts of London, Reading, Basingstoke and anywhere else they decide to send me.

I live in Mayford, between Woking and Guildford. I worked there a few times and my work phone was stolen while I was at WH Smith lol.

somehow i fell safer living in Wimbledon....

I don't like Aldershot, I've done a few jobs in Wimbledon. Centre Court shopping centre.

Apologies didn't see the new posts thought you were speaking to me :)

Aldershot can be really rough hence wanting to leave but still stay in Hampshire.
