HDD drivers

Hey, I justr bought a new hard drive, its the samsung f3 500 GB.

I innstalled it to my computer yesterday, but I can't find any drivers tha works and its just a window open. That says "Finding files to the HDD" or something like that.

has the drive been assigned a letter?

goto my computer->manage->disk management

(if it hasn't)

sounds like you need to initialise the drive, open up disk management and allocate a filesize and system - it should auto assign a drive letter then its ready to go

Sorry, but I can't find it I've got the norwegian version of windows 7, I'm sure the language doesn't have much to say, but can you explain a little bit more spesific where I go from "my compter", to a noob like me

This is for Vista, but I doubt things have changed since.

• 'Right'-click the Computer icon, and select "Manage", the Computer Management utility window will pop up.
• In the left column, under Storage; open up the Disk Management section.
• Rescan for new disk if you have to, then initializing is quite straightforward.
