So yesterday I got rid of my Noctua NH-D14 (I KNOW OMGWTF) I can already feel the hate. And I got the Cooler Master V6 (AND YET ANOTHER WTF). But I had my reasons. I need access to my RAM, and I THINK the v6 looks a little nicer. BUT all is not for not in performance. I placed my two Cooler Master Excalibur on it and it works great, and quiet. Currently the volume emitting from my computer is no louder than before and at 3.8ghz I hoover around 28c and load is about 46c on my 1090t. So all went well.

yeah on my 1090T I did not notice any difference in temps from my old Hyper 212+ to the D-14

Don't blame you, I'm planning on replacing mine in the not too distant future, the last thing I want to see throught a nice side window is that fugly piece of ****.

Nice! I've got a CM V6GT on my 955 @4GHz with the stock fans, you can hear it under load but it's not loud, at least on my rig. Running at 4GHz 1.45v hitting around 54ish depending on ambient temp. But also my Lancool PC-K62 has stuff all intake cooling, If I take the side off it sits around 50 with P95

That's rather jazzy for 3.8, spreader temp yeah, not core? What's your volts?

x-cal's not loud??? i got a few of those and when used on any "H" series cooler they work marvelous but dang....i think they're loud!!!

right now I'm at 4ghz with 1.536v MAX, I have my mobo bump the volts to that when needed because my CPU will only hit a stable 4ghz at 1.53v and idle volde are 1.46. full load after a 10 hour stress test was 55c.

X-cal's are not loud, maybe if you dont know how they are properly used yes. regular PC use my PC is almost about 22db playing battlefield for 3 hours never gets above 30db. my pc is 3 feet from me.
