Hello everyone i just need people to help me out with a build i am prepared to take on. I would like the build for editing but also for minimal gaming, i use my ps3 for gaming as most friends have the console. I will be using many editing prgrammes such as Sony Vegas After Effects Photoshop not that this matters. I was orginally thinking of buying a iMac but then i thought i could get more for my money if i create my own. Ok budget for the moment is £1000 also could you explain what each product is for or good for. Thankyou if you do helo me out <3

if your gunna do editing, then you deff wanna consider the Intel i7-2600(k). it had 4 cores with hyper threading. for many users (gamers) its not worth the extra money, however for someone doing editing and whatnot, the hyper threading can be amazing. basically it turns those four cores into eight, and for stuff like editing and coding and whatnot, it can mean a huge performance increase....there are two versions of it. the 2600 and the 2600k. the (k) just means its unlocked and can be overclocked. if you never plan on OCing, then you can save yourself like $20 and get the non (k) version (note: they are both the same price atm, but the 2600k originally is a little more expensive. also if you havent noticed, im in the US, so my reference links will be US as will the prices. sorry about that)

as for a Graphics Card, you really dont need much if your just doing minimal gaming. something like a 560 Ti. and that card is even a little more expensive then you really need to go, but that card will hold you over very well.

other then that, it doesnt really matter. 8gb RAM, and a motherboard (p67 or Z68, doesnt matter. whatever fits for your price). Case is up to you. and if you need a power supply, get something like This. around 600W and 80 plus certified (that one is bronze, there is also one level below that, then silver and gold above it, as long as its 80 plus certified your set. just means its more power efficient)
