Well, its about time i stopped talking and got the ball rolling after deciding on building a unit before the summer.

Finanical Constrainats (18 year olds car inurance) out the way. Ive got down to putting my plans into action.

So, here it is.

First off, everything ive gatherd so far. Compressor, tubing, fans and a nice bit of Ply to strap it all too. Theres a flaring kit thrown in for good messure. Theres a few practice-made desuperheater coils and a pretty much usless cap tube.

Today ive ordered what will hopfuly be the condenser and a pipe bender so i can get on with this asap. Updates when they arrive.

Im bulding a custon evap based on the classic stepper design. Don't know wether to use a 5 or 7 chamber design yet though.

As for gas it'll probably be R290 enless i come onto a large amount of money...

Nope no large part, same as with anyone that asks for phase help I just answer questions and give advice :)
 
Small Update.

Few fun things arrived in the post today. Only just delivered by my next door person. My good ol' postman leaves stuff there when theres no1 here:).

Pipe bender, Condenser and a little temp sensor/LCD display.
 
Probably, Ill have to vac it for a long, long time. I may even falk out for some better (thinker walled) stuff and use this to learn to braze.

Well technicly this is my dads. He decided he wanted one that i could 'borrow'. So i don't think ill be drilling holes in it or anything...

I've only just got back from work, but the old man tested it on a nail and some brass rod, then told me to pull it off. Now i have a cut finger and a bloody rod/nail combo thing.

The copulers are a good fit for my 8mm tubing too. But were bloody expensive due to the price of copper atm:( .

I take it you mean price...

the tourch set me back £40, mapp can was £8 and ~£5 for 25 copper copulers. Screwfix ftw:p .

Well ive just been doing my 1st brazing:D. Ive not figured out the flux thing yet, will have to wait till the old man get back for that. But ive brazed up a practice joint using two small tubes and a joiner. Took some photos of course:p.

Hehe, cheers kemp. Probably have to wait for the judgmental eye of Nol to say if they are good enough for phase. And my old man will find SOMETHING wrong with them...
