do you mean this one?

it's easy enough, just go to the Extreme Overclocking site and follow the sig instructions, (or copy this one

)

all i need now is a better cooling system to keep this thing cool. new water cooling kit is in my future.

maybe i can get some more info out of people.

what would be the best way to run folding on this rig? currently i7 920 @ 3.78ghz(180x21) MSI N460GTX Hawk @ 848mhz

Until i get a better cooling solution and if the gtx 480 ever shows up... thats what i will be running.

should i run both gpu and smp, or just cpu? should i run with -bigadv?

what do you think would bring the best numbers?

ok, i better get some sleep.

Ok, so i have been folding for 2 days now. kind of getting it worked out. but my SMP goes so slow. pretty sure it is still the same one that i started on. and it's only at 43%. am i doing something wrong?

Some WUs take ages I have had some 14hr ones myself, it you are using your PC whilst folding and it's something that uses the CPU your PPD will drop a bit as well, so the WU will take longer still as I noticed after using photoshop and doing a bit of gaming today. If you click where it says SMP on the left it will open a window which will give you an ETA on how long it will take to finish.

The BIGAdv do take some time, they are, to my knowledge, aimed at intense folders that have their rigs folding 24/7. If you want to know an Estimated time try what SieB suggested, it will show you. The SMP WUs on my rig vary in the time they take to complete. I have some that are done in 3 hours, and some take over 10. It just depends on the WU. What kind of PPD are you getting btw?

Post the FAHlog please..

but i take it you stopped it (client) and restarted it again to see if that works ?

Also are you working on you're rig at the same time you are Folding ?

ok, so there is no way I am going to get this WU done on the SMP before the deadline is up. I'm working on and with my computer too much on the weekends. how can I remove the WU that it is currently working on and start a new one?

Client > SMP > Delete WU

I think that's how you do it anyway.

Just posting this so those that do not know how to check how long a unit takes with GPU tracker - can

notice how the SMP part on the left is blue where my mouse over is ready for clicking which provides the info on th eright box out. Oh and is now a good time to whinge about another 6701 WU

just going to let this one finish out. actually have been folding all day cause i havent been here. hope it finishes on time.

I just looked at the links as to where it is and had a quick play with it but tbh I ain't no expert when it comes to photoshop and could not get it to work - yet ...edit looks up ^^ and thinks best leave it to the professionals

I have no idea what is going on at this point. but an update, my WU on the SMP is at 88% wich is good. I think I will hold off on the -bigadv ones for now. until i get a better cooling solution for the cpu and maybe a 970
