HAFX build, gpu suggestions needed.

lol don,t we all know that story. bills, bills, bills and more bills makes doing a custom build tricky at the best of times .butt i probably one of the worst when it comes to watching builds and not commenting and i mean a lot of builds i just like to see what everyone else is doing and try not to copy there ideas .butt keep it unique .but i like the carbon wrap on the back pannel is very cool way to cover up the so called messy bits lol.i like the way you and a few others i,ve noticed cut the window out looks 10 times better then the orignal window with that ugly fan on the side ill be definetly keeping an eye on this build progress .custom pc,s are exspensive my wallet has already bleed out $1000 so far and i,ve only just started .looks awsome dude cant wait to see more

Ok guys it's been awhile.. I've received most of the parts, and have put everything together, but I'm not pleased with the tube routing. The build is no where near done, as I still don't have a gpu or motherboard.

Here are a list of things that I still need to get..
Plexi-glass for the side panel
Case lighting
gpu
gpu waterblock
psu (Ordered)
motherboard - the blue heatsinks are killing me. (Pictured below)

I've got an ax850 psu on the way, and I'll be sleeving all the wires myself. The sapphire video card was a dud, I'm glad I canceled my order before newegg shipped it. I am now leaning toward a diamond multimedia hd7970, I contacted them, and they said they only use reference design.

Here are some pics. Just remember, it's not finished. I got impatient and starting putting it together. The psu, motherboard, gpu, and all sleeving will be changed.

MDPC-X Sleeving

Radiators, MCP-655, and Bitspower single d5 top upgrade kit installed

Completed tubing, and added a drop of dish soap to help with air bubbles. I'm not happy with the tube routing at all. That'll change though once I get a watercooled gpu. Where are the paper towels?

Here it is the next morning, with everything installed.

Sigh, it's so ugly..

Well there you have it, That's where it's at right now. I'm just waiting on another paycheck, and more parts :) I'll be back soon with another update.

Yeah that blue stuff just doesn't look quite right. If the Gaming series of MSI's new 1155 line is as good as the normal ones (I have a Z77A-GD65, very happy with it so far), I might suggest something like this: GD65 Gaming.

Or the Asus ROG boards, of course.

Or you could paint the M/B as done in this buildlog.

looking good i couldn't understand why there was so much hose down near the psu until i realized and reread through that your gonna be putting a waterblock on the gpu..

for plexi i would possibly get some smoked red acrylic or you could go for ultra clear or both its cheap enough use the smoked red until you swap out the mobo for the color scheme then use the clear :D
