H80 to H110

I know this may seem like a lot of money for little gain, but hear me out.

I have the H80 and although it's a good cooler, there are a few things that bug me about it. The fans at anything over minimum speed are annoyingly loud and it looks rather large and intrusive when mounted to the rear of a case.

I'd like to get the H110 so I can mount it in the roof of my case and have it out of sight, but here's the thing, I want to bolt it to the Bitfenix Spectre Pros I have in the roof of my case.

I realise Spectre Pros may not be as optimised for radiators as the H80 fans (not sure about the ones on H110), but the Spectre Pros can be run at a higher percentage of their peak performance without sounding like they're going to take off.

Now, aesthetics aren't the only reason I'd like to make the upgrade. I've got a 3570K and it's no lie that Ivy runs a bit hot. Living in Australia, the heat 'issue' is amplified come summer. So, I'd like to shave a few degrees off the temps too.

Keeping in mind that the Spectre Pros run much quieter than the Corsair fans (allowing me to turn them up a bit), do you guys believe I could expect much (if any) of a temperature improvement going from H80 to a H110 + Spectre Pros?

I'm using a 3570K overclocked to 4.4GHz 1.22v and a Switch 810.

Thanks.

You should see some difference in cooling as the h110 has a larger surface area compared to the h80. I am not expert but ill leave it to the other peeps on here who know more than me :D

From my research I would say it would be worth it. Should get more OC. Mount it under your 200m fan(s) at the top for a push pull effect :)

all id say is if they are static pressure they will be of more benifit. i used normal and static pressure fans and noticed a noise drop and higher performance, but then if you need to run at a higher load for a continued time. you can push the SP fans even further mine up to 2500rpm (ish) and they are noisey but they keep my cpu under 60'C at full load hope this helps :)
