thank you all for the advice that ya'll gave. I took about 4 shots of some stuff i got ,then iorder theHAF932 case owell ONe more question is there a better thermal paste thanartic silver 5?cutter 1965-1972

did you manage to get your h50 rma'd? cause buyin the haf932 isnt going to improve your temps cause its the pump on the h50 thats more than likely the problem not airflow in the case

yes i got rma on the h50 but the HAF932 looked too good to pass up with the cable management, and I heard it was a good air flow case. I will see about this MX2 or MX 3 paste. Thank you very much, Cutter

So your temps are good now or are you still waiting on a new h50?

yeah its a great case for aiflow (HAF stands for High Air Flow) but using the h50 its not so much an issue will keep your hd's, chipsets and gpu nice and cool, yeah the cable management will help a lot with looks and airflow for coolin the other components

well after an all nighter ,I've found out that the thremal margin {51c to 57c} dose not mean that the Q6700 is not running hot ? I think what I've read means that i have between 51c&57c idle temps ,befor the processer shuts down ? Speedfan shows core0at 29c core1 29 c2at29 c3at29 idle .I am not sure but ithink that core0 means core the frist core? .If this is the case then I am allright but Istill am blowing air out of case. corsair says that the air should come into the case. Well Iam still going to rma it . AlsoIhave read that Noctu has a fan that might the next unit. As for thermal paste I read that IC Diamond7 Caret beats mx2& 3 by 2.5 c so I will try that. tril & error I will be glad to let ya all know.thanks cutter

can you post pics? and usually the termal mergin means that its got 51-57 to the max temp the cpu can handle but if its 29 then thats nothing to worry about at all

I know the 6000 series processors were the 65nm ones which were hotter than the 45nm ones. Not sure what temps they usually run at. Have you checked you have enough thermal paste? And that it is the good stuff. Having said that, I read an article the other day about overclocking the 6600. It said that if it is overclocked, as long as it runs under 80 degress C it should be fine.

ive had my Q6600 down to 14 degrees idle with the h50 sits about 22 on normal use and it usually tops out at about 50 when its clocked to 3.4ghz during a stress test

thesthpster: Thank you. Any comments on IC diamond 7 carat paste. I guess my cores are running at the right temps. As soon as I figure out how to post pictures, I will send pictures of the HAF and the top deck I have built from scratch. Thermaltake case, 750 W power supply, Nvida 260,, Q6700, WDHD 640GB, Top deck ASUS rampage extreme X48, quad core 9450, Nvidia 280, Seagate 500GB, Seagaate 750 GB, Boreaus chiller. yeah your temps are nothing to worry about no where near worrying but as a rule of thumb mate its the load temps that are more important than idle temps
