H440 for SLI 980 Ti?

I've been looking into downsizing from my HAF X. I want a case that's very quiet and provides good air cooling with low noise. I also don't want a huge case. The case must not have 5.25" bays or exposed fan mounting points (aesthetics). A PSU shroud is a must. The window should not expose anything but the motherboard area (no HDD area). Right now the only thing I really like about my HAF X is how quiet it is with the massive fans. Everything else though, I hate it. The H440 seems to be the closest to what I want in aesthetics.

My hardware is:
i7 6700k @4.6GHz with Noctua NH-U14S
Two MSI GTX 980 Ti Gaming 6G
Corsair AX1200i PSU
Two SSDs

I'm mainly asking because I saw this build: http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/systems/msi_gaming_build_msi_z170_gaming_m7_gtx980_ti_sli/1

That's effectively what my build would be, but with an air cooler on my cpu.

I have a H440 and never had an issue with heat however from all I read before I purchased the case is not the best for airflow and with 2 SLI cards I am not sure you would get enough airflow through the vents to keep things cool.

Maybe someone with the H440 and SLI can give you more exact answer on heat with this config.

Hi OP,

Your hardware will run fine in the H440, just get a decent exhaust fan for the rear since your going to have so much heat being dumped.

Since you wont need the mech drive caddys, remove them when installing your components to help with the airflow. You can also remove the grills on the intakes which helps.

Have you looked at the Fractal Define S? According to a site that reviews silent PCs, The H440 was significantly louder and warmer than the Define S so if clean aesthetics and silent cooling are your thing, the Define S might fit the bill better.

The Define S doesn't have a PSU shroud. I also heavily dislike their modu vent system thing at the top. It looks very ugly. In addition it's unnecessarily long.

Its long to help accommodate watercooling gear as thaf is what the case is aimed at.

As I said in my first post. You will be fine with the H440. Just make sure to add some fans at the top or switch the rear exhaust fan to something stronger.

The stock fans both front and back are relatively decent, however you can switch them out if you want lower temps.
