H100i, TIM, Really that bad ?

Replaced the TIM that comes on the H100i with IC Diamond 24 Carrot and my temps went from 41 at idle to 29 at idle and 32'c at idle with AS5, Core i7 4770K @ 4.65GHZ Vcore 1.28.
Is it that they put too much TIM on there or is it really just that bad ?

As far as I know the Tim that comes with the corsair units is quite good, maybe you had an air bubble stuck or didn't mount it properly the first time round.

Yea I haven't had any issues with the TIM on the H100i. Also it's best to quote the differences in temps at load values rather than idle. There's probably under 3C difference in temps between the stock TIM and an enthusiast TIM.

I think such difference is not possible with chocolate vs paste.
Maybe you didn't mount good block first time...
I never saw difference worth of attention between paste out of box and some other as NT-H1, Ceramique,...

Chocolate and paste ?
I did mount it correctly....................
Corsair just put too much paste on there it was very thick.

no one excluded it was a fault from their side, the cooler could've passed from the thermal paste machine twice and got two layers of thermal paste.

Yeah that's my thinking, When I removed the block there was a huge a mount of TIM on it.
