H100 stock fan at 100% everytime..good or not?

Well my corsair h100 fan speed control are broke... doesnt work anymore so i plug the 2 stock fan of this cooling directly into the mobo (2 different place for fan) and the pump into the cpu plug (on the mobo) so the fan are working att 100% everytime is that a good thing or not..? and when i check with HWINFO/HWMonitor it say 3850rpm for the cpu fan (its mean my pump is working at 3850rpm right?) is that a good thing or not? is that a good speed? and the stock fan of h100 are 2600rpm max right? so its mean they are running at 2600 rpm? and if i want to push and pull with this h100 what speed of fan should i get for the "pull"? >.< (is it better to buy a fan controller to control those 4 fan too? or to get them all 4 at 100% speed?)

PS: Yes i know i ask so much question but im somehow dumb about this ahahah.......
PS2: Do getting 2 more fan for push and pull realy make dust less on the radiator? >.<

The speed your motherboard reports for the 'cpu fan' is double the speed of the pump, it will infact be 1925rpm and this is constant at around 2000rpm.

As for your fan speeds that is entirely down to your motherboard, which you have not stated so I don't know what to say, they may not be 2600rpm, i'd imagine you would know as that would be hella loud!

If you get 2 more fans for push pull it is generally recommended you use identical fans at the same speed. This will increase airflow through the radiator and hence increase dust, it will also be noticeably louder. Buying a fan controller may be useful but that depends on the fans you intend to use and if your motherboard has any fan control.

Why don't you return your H100 to Corsair and get a working one? Assuming you purchased it new that shouldn't be a problem at all.


Finally I will just say that nobody can recommend what speeds to run your fans at or indeed how many fans to get unless they know your temperatures and your needs. If your running stock clocks and your cpu is cool it would be a total waste of time to get 4 fans and run them all at 2600rpm when two at 1000rpm would do the job. It also depends what temperatures your happy to let your cpu reach and how much you want to overclock it.

I believe its that some motherboards see the pump as a fan and report the speed incorrectly. Exactly why i'm not sure but I remember it happening when I had a H100 because HWmonitor reported it at 4k and Corsair Link said 2k. Nor the pump or fans are capable of spinning that fast.

Yep I think so. Push pull will trap more dust in the rad, be louder but perhaps reduce your temps by 3-4c if your lucky. Unless you've got a massive overclock it's a complete waste of time. Idling below 40 sounds ok but with what processor? and load temps are far more important. Running your fans constantly at 100% probably will shorten the lifespan of the bearings but it will have a far worse effect on your hearing!

ahahah no choice with the 100% fan speed i do have 2 fan speed controler on my old rigs but not with me atm sad and i got a i5 750 oc at 3.3ghz ^^"

You might check to see if you have up to date corsair software and driver.
If your h100 fan controller is really not working , I would suggest you contact corsair customer service and RMA it , if you can.

there a software and driver for corsair h100? bought it like in 2011 XD never know there a driver and when i plug the fan to the corsair h100 their speed goes up and down... like slow to fast every 5~10sec.. (something like that or 25~30 sec)
