H100 pump???

Hi all! I could use some help. I recently just installed new Noctua NF-P12s on my h100 rad. problem is, my temps are not as good as they were with the stock fans. I am using a FX-8350 on a Sabertooth 990 FX mobo. I checked the fan speeds and such and they are working fine, but I went from low 30s to mid to high 40s. could the pump be going?

the only reason most change the H100 fans from the stock fans is the noise with
the understanding you'll prolly be warmer in temperatures.

because of the static pressure and volume makes the fin density work well with
2000rpm+ fans.
how much warmer in temperatures loaded are you seeing? and what were they with
the H100 fans?

my guess is 8°-12° warmer under load

Good guess! lol That is about right. I like quite, but if I am hurting my performance, then I will just either get some SP 120s or upgrade to the H100i. Also my video card temps are much hotter now that I am running SLI (2 GTX 670s). I know it is logical for this to happen, but I went from 34c idle to 52c and 45c respectively.

yes, but what can I do lower those temps? I don't have enough room to water cool them both plus, I have no place for another rad.

Go back to stock fans on the H100 - give the ole case and components a good cleaning. Look into what u can do to move more air through the case (will do good for both GPUs and cooler) and maybe resesarch if u could give your CPU less voltage while still getting wanted performance.

What case do u have/fans?

Could warmer cpu also be a result of higher general in-case temps with SLI ?

not really, he went from 2650rpm fans 92cfm to 1300rpm and 55cfm
so the air path isnt as pronounced and the air is "dead" floating.
those OE corsairs at full tilt are some vacuum cleaner fans that can void
a case pretty quick..

redemption77, the SP will alter the temps warmer as well from the OE H100
fans, but only 3°-5°. a bit quieter. i found that the OE fans undervolted to
7v were very livable. but if too noisey for you then the SP120 PE at 7v are
much quieter but with slight temp raise 4°-7°.
NF-F12 fans were the better choice at 12v with a 4° warmer experience.
but most dont care for the colors..

Ok, I just put back in my original 120mm and 200mm that came with the case. 200 mm in the front, 120mm in the back. Unbelievable difference! Only downside is I am going to have to drive another 2 hours back out to Microcenter to retun the other fans. :(
