could you dye a dyed fan eg dye white so it take on colour better? or would the plastic already be over saturated?

That's the reason I want to do it, after dyeing the fan it feels the same and no its not invasive like paint you could dye it 100 times and it would b fine.

I want to dye White = then dye whatever colour I want, that way the colours I want will absorb better

Although this looks amazing, and I see the reason why people hate them, I personally think they're nice fans! They work as they are and the colour isn't too bad. Do they not sell other colours yet? I heard they were doing so over a year ago.

Nice work though, I'm not knocking that! Been a few posts on here with people wanting to do the same thing (I think it was with Noctua fans also).

Nope unfortunately noctua's only sell brown fans and it doesn't suit every rig, which is why I did this.... It looks great now and works the same.

Shame really, but I guess it's what make them stand out as their brand. I had a dream time with my Noctua's.

Really good work with this then

imagine white (if there is white dye out there)

No such thing as white dye and there never will be (im talking as a Pure dye). Any white fluid is a pigment. How ever you could coat the blade is a soft plastic that harden once dried.

Good tut how ever you need to say what ever pan you use dont use it for cooking afterwards. I sure a lot of wifes , mothers, cooks would not be happy you doing this in pans.

Use can use 2 mls of liquid dye to do this as well.

If you want a more even coating its best to do it for 1/2 hour. then Cool off, then re do as many times as you like this gives it a more even coat though out.

Awesome! When i start building a new rig and pick up some DH-14s, i'll definately be changing the colour

Thanks for the tut!

can anybody confirm if liquid dye would work just as well as the powdered rit dye?

if not, would anybody mind listing a few other powdered dye brands? rit doesn't seem to be easily accessible for me in Ontario

As mayhem commented above (who specializes in dyes)suggests to Use can use 2 mls of liquid dye to do this

liquid dye is basically premade powder dye, i used rit dye for this guide.

heres a link to ebay to the dye i used. (navy blue)
