Just announced at the Nvidia TWIMTBP Conference, the GTX780ti will be hitting reviewers very soon and will be available to buy in mid November!

Going to be interesting seeing how it performs against the 780, Titan and 290X.

I'm going to laugh so hard if that thing outperforms the 290x and they release around the same time

Are you sure it's not a 760 Ti though?

It will probably match the 290x in performance but still cost more.

I don't understand how they are going to price it though. Unless they drop the price of the Titan and 780 by quite a bit then it's going to be between £500-800.

If it's faster than a Titan then you would expect it to cost more than a Titan. So they will have to drop prices to be competitive with the 290 and 290x or no would buy it, unless it is faster by a considerable amount, which I highly doubt.

"Oh Nvidia!", this doesn't surprise me in the slightest

well that's obviously their response, i'd even consider it a kick in the balls for AMD. for this entire year i'd book a win in nvidia's books, they had the undoubted crown for half a year before AMD could even respond, now they'll just have to do a little adjustment to keep it even till the 8xx series releases which will blast AMD once again.
i hope AMD will catch up, don't want to see them getting dominated in the GPU market as they are in the CPU market. half a year still seems like not too much of a delay to us, but atm that's half a circle late, to keep it even AMD would have had to release the 290x around june at the latest.
my guess would be this will come in slightly above the 290x, so 650-700 euros.

one good thing i have taken from this is, that AMD haven't released the price of the 290x, with that said it could be priced very nicely.

I personally don't want to make a judgement on it until I've seen the 290x review. If its designed to take on the 290x and does at a premium I won't be surprised. Equally if it is around the same price it'll then be war of the drivers, much like the 660/7870 has been, with one card doing better than the other depending on the game.

Only bought my 780 4months ago :( I know its not the next gen of cards but my 780 wont be 2nd best nvidia card anymore :(

But on the upside, if prices are severely lowered, i may be saying hello to a 780 SLI :)

The price difference bar ram is artificial they have the ability to unlock more of the die and still wack 3gb to keep costs down. That would be a good way of being competitive!
