EDIT found my old thread ...

http://forum.overclock3d.net/index.php?/topic/31662-fh-evga-ftw-and-overclocking/

Is this still a problem ?

I mean ones you have a Fermi card in PCI-E slot one you can't overclock any more ..or it will hard lock ?!

Looking at these or maybe 2x GTX570....(thinking real hard).

But i also noticed a new socket (2011) , man i need to start some reading again and FAST!

Greetings Ray..........

Going to mark this thread as solved,

al tho it IS solved by buying a GTX280 (i used to have a GTX260 in there) that will go into PCI-E slot 1....

if i find this Fermi locking problem, i'll post the link(s)..

Greetings Ray and Happy Folding....

If you can find one or two gtx570,that would be your best option. They will produce 16k-17.5k ppd each, and the gtx560 is 14k-15k ppd.Dont know about gtx560 448core,but they have the same cost as gtx570.

BTW was there a PPD drop in regards to GPU Folding and NvidiA ?!

because i used to get that PPD with my GTX470s and GTX460s ....
