GTX480 Problem

Nope, I'll be happy from 800/3900 (effective).

I think 850 will be to much for SLI - too hot.

The worst scenario if too hot I'll WC them using EK universal blocks, as Full Cover is to expensive compare to value of the cards.

reapplied thermal compound and got idle temps down by 7C but load temps were just as bad

and i normally have a 120mm fan blocking that view

i have heard re-mounting the cooler on them cards is nails are u sure its seated correctly?

have you not noticed the stupid thing about the cooler?

it is slightly slanted to allow more air to get to the card but by the SLI bridge the 2 cards are actually touching because the cooler is slightly into the "3rd" slot

i will move my pc sightly and take a picture of what i have had to do to keep the temps and noise under control

BTW if I will put my cards into a 16x PBIE and 4x PCIE what sped they will be working?Or should I put them into x16 and x8?

EDIT - damn today in shop which I bought 2xEGA's yesterday, they have "today deal" only for MSI Cyclone for £117 - I t always like that, when I'm buying something.

Ok I got them - looks like my GTX480 was fine - same issue on 2 x 460 in crysis and some other games.

Unfortunately I have sent card on RMA today.

What could be wrong?
