Hey,

As the title says, anyone know if there are or will be any backplates for the reference design of the 980Ti?...

Regards,

You do realise Cold Zero is the man for aftermarket GPU backplates

If he says it fits a Titan X then it fits a Titan X, should drop him a email as and ask him, he will help you out 100%

Umm no, I did not. But now I know that and that's cool :) ... Thanks dude for the tip, much appreciated! :)

Coldzero delivers some fine work indeed, you should email them. You could even asl for some custom engraving etc.
Here's a Xonar Phoebus backplate from them to give you an idea:

So I've contacted ColdZero regarding their backplate and I now have a question for you lads, as I'm abit unsure and would like some advice.

Should I keep the Nvidia logo in blue rather than green or just get it rid of it entirely (the same blue as Corsair has on their fans), and just have the small "Geforce GTX 980Ti" text in the bottom. For a clean and slick backplate.

Will have the "980Ti" in blue though, instead of green, to blend it with my PC more.

Thank you,
Chrazey

So a bit off topic here... but here's how the Titan X shroud looks like from Asperatis, my question to you guys is the following: The spots where the greasy things where, can I use those from the 980Ti on this shroud?... or do I need to get new ones?.

Also, if I remove the shroud from the 980Ti and put this one on, I assume I need to apply some new thermal paste on the GPU?. Is it the same way/method as doing the dot in the middle of the CPU?.

Just wondering...

Edit, actually looks like just the shroud that needs to be changed. Ie the plastic cover and not the entire heatsink as well.
I must have slept when I wrote that post, as I thought I had to change the entire thing.

Just gonna get that dummy screw out :/...

Well apart from the colour of the shroud on the Titan X both Titan X and 980 Ti shrouds are indentical.
