GTX 780 - Far Cry 3 - Blood Dragon - Stuttering Badly

Swapped out my old card for a 780 and blood dragons fps is all over the place, 1 second it can be 100+ the next 2, Doesn't happen with any other game and it didn't happen with my previous card, The 680.
could this just be teething problems due to launch day drivers ?

Clocks are all stable fps just fluctuates wildy

Probably is drivers then. I don't have that game or I'd test to see if it happened to me too.

Something else I noticed is the GPU barely ever goes above 80% Usage..
Am I alone on this one? I'm assuming It's just immature drivers and hoping it's not PCIe 2.0 getting saturated.. =|

Well both our boards are pcie 3.0 so no chance of that happening just yet

The Asus Maximus IV Extreme-Z he has is only PCIe 2.0.

Your board however is PCIe 3.0.

By any chance can you open a osd panel while gaming and pay attention to gpu usuage for me much obliged

Theres a frame buffer, you need to play with that.... Game settings.


I didnt use it in my reviews and it was fine though

Stays at around 90% and jumps up to 99% in certain areas.

We'll I have it set to never go above 70 degrees I'm assuming you have it set at default 80?

No I've got everything maxed, Temp and power limits, Tested with and without overclocks, No change.
