So how do backplates work i just thought they were there for aesthetic purposes only but i didnt realise they helped cooling. Does it have thermal pads on it to work like a mahoosive heatspreader or something
 
It's not only for heat dispersion, but also to keep dust off of the components. Because we all know what too much dust can do... cause things to overheat. No dust, no extra blanket to keep that card cozy.
 
i'm sure it would as the evga one for the 680 above is for the same purpose.

and your card is of stock design i think so this should fit

not 100% can someone else clarify
