Twin Frozr II £370

Phantom £395

Lightning £410

Now I want the best compromise between price, performance and noise.

I had the Twin Frozr II in my head because it has great reviews and is at a great price, with good performance and noise.

Is the Phantom worth it? The noise is obviously less, but I'm worried about any performance hit.

The Lightning is £25 more than the Twin Frozr II, IMO I'm not sure its worth it, but I'm happy to hear opinions.

Thanks guys.

EDIT: Just found the Phantom at £380.Wow.

EDIT2: And the Lightning for£397. o.O

Get the lightning then

It doesnt matter which one you choose, each one is a good graphics card.

I've heard that the Twin Frozr III cooling system on the Lightning is significantly better than the old Twin Frozr II.

But unless you are really going to be caning the card (Folding etc), the stock cooler is perfectly adequate - mine never spins up to the extent that it becomes annoying when playing new games on max settings.

The best bet is to find the card you want (580 in your case) and then just buy the cheapest one you can find with a good warranty.

Best of luck.

Hmm, for me the quietness factor really is a high priority, I've not seen many reviews where the noise levels have been objectively tested (i.e. on a graph with dB comparisons from a set distance away)

If the noise levels of the Lightning are near enough to the Phantom then I think its clearly the one to get, but the Twin Frozr 2 looks (or looked until I saw new prices) a steal.

Decided on the Twin Frozr II

The Lightning didn't justify its price imo, bearing in mind I'm not going to overclock that much.

The Phantom exhausts air in all directions, which I don't think is helpful in a case like the BitFenix Colossus where airflow is not the greatest even with Noctua fans in.

Thanks for your help guys.
