GTX 580 Lighting Xe

Hey guys,

I might just have bought myself this amazing card for only €200 W00T ??

I'm out of money tho and i only got a 500W psu, but it should be Ok,

thing is I've got only 1 8pin, but the "normal" lightning comes with a 6 to 8 pin as they are pretty much identical accept for the ground.

Just asking if you see any problems with this.

Also i'm still on a quad core athlon so it might bottleneck

but i'm upgrading psu and mobo later on

It's not sure yet, but i just typed gtx 580 on a local auction site, sent the guy a mail and he seems to want only 200.

even if it doesn't work, i'll be happy

maybe just a dream not coming true and me having to play crysis 2 on something else than ultra this monday :'(

Could be a scammer, ran into one of those when searching for a cheap PS3. Found one dirt cheap in my neighbourhood but when I said I was going to pick it up they stopped replying to my emails. I hope this isn't the case here though, it'd be an epic deal for you :'D

I just hope i get a reply real quick now, i'd love to go and pick it up tonight.

OCZ, it should be alright for the moment, only 500w tho, and i've got a hungry cpu to feed

Hi Guys,

i was just about to purchase myself one of these cards in the 3gb version but i noticed something weird with the Australian Spec version. What i initially thought was a typo on a local Australian resellers website turned out to be true, from the MSI website :

Core Clock Speed(MHz) 832 (772MHz AUS Only)

Memory Clock Speed(MHz) 4200 (4008MHz AUS Only)

Can anyone think of why they would down-clock the Australian version ? I'm not too fussed as i know with a little bit of tweaking this can easily hit the global clock speeds, it was just something curious that had me interested.....any ideas anyone ?
