Hi again,
Ok, I've tried things a little differently using the configurator thing.
For my Inno3D Card:
I selected Club 3D as manufacturer (thanks again SLIZER!) then selected the 2nd of the two presented cards. This looks like my card. Odd as initially when I tried it BOTH cards looked the same and NOT like mine...maybe I changed my selection in the wrong place.
Anyway, this presented me with (among others) the following Block:
EK-FC570 GTX SE - EN (Nickel)
For my Palit Card:
I thought as this card is reference design I'll select NVidia as manufacturer & right away I saw "my" card! With this selected I was given this block (again among others, but I picked this one)
EK-FC580 GTX+ EN (Nickel)
So, a different block for each card! This is GOOD as there must be other subtle differences between the cards that is not apparent from simply looking at the back.
Also it seems the newer Inno3D card
isn't reference as far as NVidia are concerned as they don't list a card that looks like my Inno3D at all!
Now, I assume that in SLI these two block should line up perfectly so I can run a parallel cooling config if I so wish.
Edit: SLIZER - I confess I initially slightly miss-read your post, forgive me for not paying better attention. You were right all along! +rep.
Edit 2: SpecialTech have the 580 GTX+ block but not the 570 GTX SE one...pants.
I think I'm getting there..slowly...
Cheers,
Scoob.
