GTX 560 Ti

I've got a problem. Left it for a few hours and came back to find out that F@H had gone to sleep WTF?

I open the Display and it says that "Core is not running now." O.o

Just got the 560Ti but HFM is a pain to configure. Anyone know of any tutorial?

No idea but it shouldn't be to hard , what is the "pain" mate? i could try to make something...

Did it start the WU correctly ?

is the GPU overclocked?

a restarts gets it out of its sleep ..most of the time it means it has been having unstable runs and after 10 runs or more not 100% sure it goes to sleep..

EDIT2
Arggg they have been resized by imagshack

i hope you can still figure it out or i will make a new one...

2nd 560 is installed and running.......

Some weird stuff on this Asus P6X58D Premium, cards don't get on well if installed in slots 1 and 3, cost me a re-install of Win 7 to figure that out

Cards do play well in slots 1 and 2 WTF?

So both are at 995/1990 ATM and doing 17K+ on 6805's and just under 15K on 6801's, but the bad news is they really hit -bigadv performance. They are a noticeably bigger drain on -bigadv than a pair of 460's. I think it has to do with the newer 266.xx series drivers.... Hopefully that will be rectified with newer drivers.

I was coming to that same conclusion with P6X58D-E & 560 in any slot other than the 1st slot it would boot fine into 7 but afterburner would always come up with no supported hardware error

Could this be due to fact that for standard SLi you're meant to put them in slots one and two and the 3rd is only for 3-way SLi?

I know it tells me to do this in my Gigabyte UD3R manual else SLi might not work properly apparently.

Dunno if that IS the case, but thought I'd throw in my 2 pennies.

I just want to shed some light on this subject on my Asus board after some late night trouble shooting.

Slot 1 has my 480 for obvious reasons slot 2 empty slot 3 560Ti.

Now this didn't come with it's share of problems win 7 64 bit with just the 480 I tried to install 266.66 obvious fail, add the 560 in slot 3 to the mix windows boots, Clean install of 266.66 go to control panel 480 is there slot 3 shows unsupported vga, now instead of pulling my hair out like last time I thought ok lets just see what Windows has to say for itself, right click unsupported vga update drivers 15 minutes later literally all is updated installed windows recognizes the 560 open afterburner 560 is there ok cool, to reboot or not to reboot was my next decision.

So after the reboot no issues whatsoever 480 is there 560 is there perfect now will they all play nice and fold?

WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!!!

Tonight instead of Black Ops, It will be an overclocking session with both cards so production might be spotty I know that 560 will fold over 1ghz stable on the core as it did before
biggrin.gif
the 480 will be a bit more challenging as they do run hot regardless of the twin frozr II design.

I would have ordered my 560 tonight but none in stock
sad.gif
I am looking either at an MSI or gigabyte although MSI has longer RTB warranty both from Scan.

hopefully I will not have any issues as it will replace my 8800, but then again, can i keep that in my system?

The 560 doesn't get along with my GTX 275 or 260, if either or both of those cards are present the 560 loses around 4K PPD and the other cards run normal.

So I guess the only way to find out how 2X 560's would work is to the hit the BUY button for another card:lol:

SLI should work fine with the 560's but tri SLI is not supported as there is only one set of SLI fingers present.

I get this the other way around. SLI 460GTX and the 560GTX, the 560 isn't quite matching your PPD @ 1000MHz but both my 460 take a 4-5K PPD hit. :/

What drivers are you on there, Mr Steve? I'm running modded Quadro 270.71 but everything from the initial 560 release upwards causes it.

Found exact same problem elsewhere..

I'm on the original release, and with 2x 560's. Later drivers show no improvement in cpu usage. The SMP hit is fairly big with a 560, much more than on a 460???

Hoping they get all this worked out soon as with 2x 560's and i7 on -bigadv the PPD is not a much of an improvement over the i7 wit 2x 460's

I've not seen much hit on the BigAdv but this might be because I'm on the modded Quadro 270.71 drivers.

They do need to fix it, just like with the 2xx and 4xx series running together, something seems to be broken..
