got it plugged into the right slot????

PCI Express 2.0 x162 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots (PCIE 1 and PCIE 3)

- 2-way CrossFire at x16/x16 bandwidth

PCI Express x41 x PCI Express x4 slot (PCIE 2)

PCI Slots3

yes.... I put on the third pci-e that its meant for physics... the card solely depends on pci-e to power-up But the card do work in spite of running on just X1 lane...

ok then I'd check in the bios and see if theres a setting to it if its in the 3rd pci-e slot it should be at 16x not 4x if nothing in the bios look on board and see if there are any dpi switches to control the lanes.

This is the board right???? Dont see ant dpi switches and just to clarify you have the cards in both the latched slots right??? As those are pci-e 1 and 3

I have a DFI Lanparty x38 mobo ... It has 3 pci-express x16 ... Two for sli and the last one is for physics w/ three lane occupied it will run on x16x16x4 (these w/ sli configuration w/ physics)....

I cannot see anything on bios or on the board to configure the pci-e lane... but like I said the card do work. it just puzzled me of seeing on x1

might just be the

program ur using syas its x1 and its not really dunno sounds like its working though. but in have you noticed an improvement in gaming with the third card in

Have you got something else in any other PCI lanes or have you just got the GPUs?

Is this your card?? Board sorry, is this your board??

If it is this board then its actually a AMD Crossfire board, not a Nvidia SLI board.

I'd be tempted to boot up your PC using just the GT440 in the 3rd slot and see what it says it's running at then.

Edit: How many cards are you running? If your just running one GTX 470 and one GT 440 then you should be able to use the first 2 slots so you can run at x16 for them both.

yes my friend, that is the board... The thing is I have an oversize cooler for my gtx470 (it takes 3 slot) then I have an oversize sb cooler (Thermalright) so I cannot really maneuver anywhere else. the third slot is my last resort...

And yes its a crossfire (my mistake) which it doesn't matter... I don't have a crossfire configuration ...

I have a gtx470, gt440 (intended for physics) and a sata raid controller that use regular pci

TEMPTING !!! I don't want to get to that kind of thinking... I have 11 hard drive (total of 9.3 terabyte) there is so much wires so much stuff to be move, its terrible

yeah I was seeing that as well be he kept saying sli so I thought maybe another version of the board

Sounds very odd, it shouldn't be doing this even if you are using slots 1 and 3, what are you using to check what bandwidth it's running at, is it the latest version of GPU-Z?

I currently playing Dragon Age 2 my fps do not improve but the environment is a bit better like things that fall on the background or like a smoke you get to see a lot better this on a medium detail setting (My current cpu is the bottleneck C2D E8400 @ 3.60) Can't handle the very high setting on directX 11

pci-express clock 100mhz-250mhz.... What is this mean? its currently on a 100mhz. Do I need to increase this to 250mhz to have them running on X16 bus?

don't touch that thing in bios if you don't know what are you doing, you can damage your vga for ever,100 mhz it ok
