Green pixels on screen

Hi guys, iv come here for the final verdict of what is wrong with my set up.

Recently, iv noticed some green, flickering pixels on my main monitor (Running a 2 monitor set up). After some research iv read that it could be either something to do with my GTX 660ti running to cold, Or that i need to underclock my GFX a little bit.

Right now, i'm not sure which one is correct so this is why i'm making this forum post.

My system specs are as followed:
i5 2500k @ 3.3ghz
GTX 660ti
8Gb ram
500w PSU

I'm not 100% sure which of these would be the best to go on.

The time i really notice them is when i'm just browsing the internet or on the desktop. I never notice them throughout gaming.

If anyone could help me, i would appreciate it a lot.

Thanks, Josh

-you have tried changing the monitor?
-checked the temperatures of your GPU?
-is it possible to test that on a another computer?
-Enough power? what else is in your system? Test with more powerfull PSU

I can try it on another computer, my GPU idle at around 30c.

Since it is only on one monitor, i suppose it could be a faulty monitor.

There is only 2 HDDs and a CPU cooler in my pc that iv not listed, and a fan controller. Would they make a difference?

take a screenshot and upload it for us, highlighting where the pixels are.

if we cant see them then its your monitor

That's not true dude, it could still be the GPU if we won't see them.
OP: do you have another GPU with which you can test the monitor? Or maybe get a cheap GeForce GT 210? Or maybe you have an old PC?

Sorry for the late reply guys

Update: Iv taken the graphics card to the company where i purchased the card, and they are testing it on Monday. The guy who i was speaking to said he thinks its something to do with either the VMemory or overheating issue.

I will know by Monday what they say.

Only problem that may happen is that if they do not have the same card (Palit jetstream 660ti) then i wont be getting a new card, till they have gotten one from the supplier, So fingers crossed they have some in.

Thanks for the advice guys, and ill let you know what exactly was wrong with the card once i know more.

Thanks, Josh

Iv tried my monitor today, to make sure, on just the Intel graphics, and my old 5750 and the green pixels are not there. I guess it is the GPU after all.
