Great News!

So after speaking with my father earlier today he told me that he would buy me a Lian Li X900B! Yes, you heard me, he will buy me a X900B. It all started with that he called me and asked me if there was anything special I wanted since he got a promotion. I said, well I would be glad if you could help me buy a X900B. Then he said, forget saving up money for it. I'll buy it for you. He might have been a little drunk, but he always keeps his word.

Anyways, that was the great news. But my question is: Is it a good buy? I love the case. It would be perfect for a 360mm radiator which I'm going to buy real soon since I get the X900B for free. But size is my concern. It doesn't seem to fit a 5970. I don't have any plans on buying a dual GPU card. I like two single GPU cards better, but in the future the case might be too small.(?) With a radiator and all. And I don't think I'd be able to do push/pull at all as long as I didn't have a short card(s) like the GTX 560. So what do you guys think? Will size be a problem?

EDIT: I just noticed that I posted this in the wrong sub forum. It's because I had two tabs open and one of them was at the right place for cases and the other one was for graphics cards and I accidentally pressed start a new thread in the wrong tab. Sorry about that.

You should be finefitting a HD 5970 but im afraid you wont get a rad in there with them. for my money thinkl i would probaly get a PC P80B

The PC x900 with a couple of GTX 560 Ti's would walk a HD 5970 and you can get a rad in with the GTX 560's so u can water cool.

Ok. Thanks for the input.

I don't really feel the P80B. It's not painted on the inside. It doesn't have good cable management (Like cut-outs and such). And it just doesn't seem as high quality as the X900B. On the other hand, it got much more room and probably better cooling, but that's not such a big deal to me. As long as the case will cool the radiator I'm getting good and keep my 5870 cool I'm happy.

Oh, and the 560 thing was just an example. I'm not thinking of getting one or a couple. Just an example. I'll see what time brings.

I love how you say father and not dad.

It's free though, you can't complain really

If your looking for cooling then the PC x1000 comes fitted with 5x 140mm instead of the 120 that the x900 has, but yes, no inside paint or window. the x900 is a great case would trade one with my ft02 any day. baring in mind the FT02 probaly the best air cooling case on the market, thats worth a look. woth a bit of modding you could get a 480 rad inside it.

I just write father and say father when talking English. When I speak Norwegian I say pappa.

Which is the same as dad, but sounds ten times more awesome. I don't say far which is like father. And you're right, I got nothing to complain about when getting such an expensive case for free!

I like the look of the X900B much more then the FT02. Don't get me wrong, the FT02 is a beautiful case too, but it doesn't beat the X900B because looks is very important to me.

I know... I'm so happy right now.
