Hey dudes and dudettes Not sure which topic this should be under so i just plonk it in here.

1. My motherboard tray has seven slots

2. I havent seen too many boards with that many slots. But with Spaces instead you know what i mean

3. Im going to sli when kepler drops

4. That means that 4 tray slots are instantly wiped for items

5. I also want to install a fairly high end soundcard capable of 5.1 at the very least and a killer network card so that means all 6 mobo slots are occupied by 4 items

I am going to be watercoolin this to within an inch of its life so both gtx6xx will be w/blocked like a boss. Would this allows me to get single slot expansion brackets to replace the standard dual slot so i could maybe use the slot in between the cards for the network card to leave the extra slots free to be filled with other good things maybe a blackmagic intensity pro for example. I know that the dual slot acts as structural reinforcement but if a have a 1/2x3/4 tube connecting the two cards those babies aint going anywhere but aurora filled heaven.

Is what im taking about possible or am i asking too much lol

Any of your guys insights would be wonderful

Peace

Dj

Keplar will be next summer before anything decent is released cos they are doing it backwards, ie: low first and work up.

Cool. I was gonna get a gtx 550ti in the mean time and flog it to the guy i work with when mass effect 3 comes out or depending on what deals are about on the 560-570 cos tbh hes a bit of a tightwad and doesnt want to buy anything over aroud 120 so im gonna take a little hit to get me going after i get all my windows rads cables other swanky bits and x79 setup in er. So time wise im good but is the fitting of stuff between cards possible with a single slot bracket?

its gonna be tight :S

but if msi comes out with a big bang or something like that you might have an easier time with all those cards
