GPU Temps

Ok something weird is happening and its not bad lol. But ever since I painted my mesh on my case (or just noticed it then) my GPU temps have dropped from 43-45 idle to 35-38 idle. Now I know color can have an impact on temps if the case was like out in the open and in direct sunlight but thats not my case. My case resides under my desk and always has. I clean my filters regularly by using canned air. My fans are in the same position as they always have been. I'm thinking maybe the TIM has finally settled in. But I havent re-timmed from factory as of yet as the temps were decent to start with I didnt sweat it. My cpu temp is up a tad but thats cause its summer now and expected. Normally 18-20 idle now 21-23 idle.

ANy Thoughts?????

Another thought is I have been playing Crysis2 with the new ultra settings and its taxing my gpu more now I run at 99% usage where before it barely hit 75% usage. Could that of maybe helped it seat in??? anyway opinions??

lol nope all I did was remove the mesh so it could be painted. I only mess with my D-14 if I have to as its a bit of a pita on the Crosshair IV Extreme mobo. It hits the mofset hs a tad so I have to start one mounting screw and wiggle it a lil to rotate it so the other lines up. But as far as cpu temps go there ok its warmer here now that when previous cpu idle range was taken. I expected my temps to go up a tad when summer hit. But the gpu dropping is whats puzzling me lol. Basically 5c drop in idle temps. Now I will shamefully admit one of my fans is double sided taped to the top of my dvd drive and side of drive cage to get it where I wanted it. Maybe with it being messed about while trying to stealth mod the dvd its now bouncing air in away that increased air to the gpu but I highly doubt it as its like 4 inches higher then the gpu.

reduced air drag from the "smoother than original mesh" paint???

possible but doubtful as all I did was lightly ruff it up with scotch brite and sprayed it lol if anything I would of thought it may of been ruffer lol but I took my time and sprayed several light coats took overall about 6 hours allowing dry time between coats

Green is a colder color than black. Its the same effect if you were to put flames on your case it will go faster. duh
