GPU Tempratures

i got a little problem with my 9600 GT when ever i play NFS carbon the temp shoots up to 82c and the game crashes but i also noticed that i cant adjust fan speed it idles around 65c i need a fix seriously drivers 185.18

Try it with a 120mm fan bodged on it aswell mate see if it makes any difference. But 80c isnt all that tbh, it may need the cooler taking off and having fresh tim on it.

What make is it e.g BFG, eVGA, XFX etc? Because I use eVGA precision to adjust fan speed it works very well.

Can that tool be used for any gfx card? For example could i get any more out of my Geforce 8600 GT?

I don't know exactly, the system requirements say an evga card but it wouldn't hurt to try, it's not exactly a large file tbh

Yeah it works Cool! Trying out another one as well from nVidia called nTune - that seems to be working better for my card. My card seems to be limited to only 489 Mhz on the memory bus - but no problems as yet with 720 Mhz on the core bus. If i destroy then i simply have to get a new card

its all fixed now there was alot of dust in my GPU fan and i cleaned that ( with a vacuum cleaner i know dumb i could have damaged something ) and now it runs normally and its a gigabyte 9600 gt

GPU is having throotle above a heat hence take care of case-cooling.
