GPU running at PCI Express x1

Hi,

GPU-Z says my HD5870 is running at pcie x1 mode shall i believe it i am have some low performance issues where my laptop is out performing my desktop.

Here are some 3DMark11 scores:

are these ok other spec is in sig, 1090T etc

3917 for a graphics score isn't to bad I don't think

are you running GPU-z at load or under idle? as at idle it will only need the minimum amount of lanes, and this then bumps up during load (gaming) even the heaviest use GPU (with a 5870 being PCI2) it wont even use more than 4-6x at full load

I just did a run of 3dmark 11 with my 5850 and got a graphics score of 3607 so yours seems about right

Let me guess, you are looking at GPU-z? You have to click the "?" next to bus interface and click start render test and that will give you the actual frequency.

i was just exploring everything cause at the moment in games my laptop is getting higher frames in BF3 and just cause 2 (only ones tested) than my desktop on exact same settings and resolution.

Return the laptop and build a better desktop : )
