Scan were selling gtx780s at just over £300 now they are around £400 why have prices gone up?

Due to heavy demand of Litcoin mining the prices have gone up. Being bought faster than can be made; so logically prices go up and demand may slow down. This is effecting more on AMDs side than Nvidias due to AMD cards being far faster in their hash rates(litcoin term). Iirc a 7850 beats a titan in litcoin mining, or at least its an exageration showing just how much better AMD is.

with amd cards being out of stock in most place due to the mining craze. Buyers are having to buy nvidia's offerings making their cards a supply and demand issue as well. Plus its the holidays as well so supply is normally short anyways. But we've seen the hikes in prices over here as well.

Just over £300? More like £350-60.

But yeah prices have gone up on all cards lately, wait till after Christmas and they should be back to normal, hopefully anyway.

Once demand slows down prices will fall, but no one knows when that will be.

Prices are going down here in Canada, mostly because of boxing week.
