Hi all new to oc3d,

i have a question about ati crossfire

can anyone tell me is there a combination of the all in wonder and crossfire cards that will work together. I would rather them to be the 256mb but really just need what two to put together. to make the rig work

right now I have a asus geforce en 7800 gt vivo but asus has phased out this card and I can't get another one.

I live in Korea

so I thought I would try ati but can't figure out or get enough information as to the right combination.

I have the asus p5wd2 premium mobo with the 955x chipset and pD 3.2 dual core with a 550w power supply I'm using the thermaltake liquid cooling system for the core and the thermaltake plus water cooling system for the gpu's.

I am not a gamer really I am using the rig for 3d graphics editing and video editing.

Unless youre going to use two X1600's or higher i suggest you stay with a single mid-high range card. Also with corssfire the cards need to be the same

yes I would use the x1800 all in wonder and the x1800 crossfire if they will work together or do I have to go to the 1900's and take the 512mb

and to add to that do you know if the all in wonder card will work with the crossfire card x1800's or x1900's

AIW cards have always been a bit on the funky side when it comes to compatibility. You would really need to look in to it working in CF mate. I have a slight suspiscion that it may not work. Then again I don't follow CF all that much so I could be 110% wrong.

I did finally get in touch with someone with more

so yes I now understand that yes the 1800 series can work in a crossfire set up with the all in wonder card

and yes all I need is the two pci slots not so much a crossfire MOBO to make it work.
